A 23-year old man was allegedly hacked to death by miscreants at Badaguda under Ganjam district's Dharkote police station limits last night, the police said today.
The deceased was identified as Silu Pradhan. He was absconding for the last five years after a murder in the village and had returned to the village on last Sunday.
"Previous enmity might be the cause behind the incident," said Biswaranjan Nayak, Inspector in-charge, Dharakote police station.
"We have identified the accused persons and search is on to arrest them," he said.
