One held for cheating job aspirant by fake offer letters

Cyberabad Police today arrested a person who allegedly cheated a job aspirant of over Rs 4 lakh at Balanagar here by sending fake job offer letters.

Accused Rajender Prasad Chowdary, hailing from Avanigadda in Krishna district, was arrested by Cyber Crime Cell, after he called up the complainant stating that he was running a job consultancy and assured him of getting job in various MNCs through back-door, police said.

The accused sent fake job offer letters to the victim and got deposited Rs 4.05 lakh in his account. However, after enquiry with the MNCs, the victim found that the offer letters were fake and lodged a complaint, they said.
