The Punjab police today arrested a man for his alleged involvement in a sacrilege incident at Jagron on April 29.
SSP Surjit Singh said a case under various sections of IPC, including 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class), was registered against unidentified men.
SHO Hathoor, Rajesh Sharma today arrested a man in this connection based on a tip-off, he said, adding the man has confessed to his role in the incident.

The man has been identified as Paltu Ram, a native of Bihar. He has been living here for the last twenty years, police said.
SSP said further investigation was on in the matter.
