One person has been arrested for allegedly stealing cash amounting to over Rs 11 lakh from a medical shop in central Kolkata's Posta area, police said today.
Acting on the complaint of Rupesh Parolia of Burtolla Street under Posta police station limits, police arrested Subhash Singh (37) from his residence at Khardah in North 24 Parganas district.
Police also recovered Rs 7.5 lakh in cash from his possession, police said.
When produced at a city court, Singh was remanded to police custody till September 26.
