Haryana Police today arrested a member of a gang from Banipur Chowk for allegedly trying to steal oil from an oil pipeline near Hansawas village of Rewari district.
Sandeep alias Kaliya, a resident of Kalot village in Jhunjhunu district, was arrested today for attempting to steal oil from the pipeline, a police spokesman said.
The accused along with his accomplices had tried to breach the oil pipeline but the home guard patrolling the site alerted the authorities and Sandeep was arrested, the spokesman said.
A case has been registered under various sections against the accused, and investigations are on, he said.
