One person was injured in a clash between two groups following a dispute during a Ganesha idol immersion procession at a village here, police said today.
Two persons have been arrested in this connection.
During the procession on September 8, there was dispute between two groups of villagers at Kasara in Sahapur taluka over certain songs being played on the occasion, Kasara police SHO Namdeo D Rathod said.

While one group wanted a certain song to be played, the other group was against it and demanded some other song. The people settled the matter then and completed the idol immersion rituals, he said.
However, yesterday the two groups indulged in a clash over the same issue and allegedly attacked each other with sticks and rods in which one person sustained injuries and was admitted to Thane civil hospital, Rathod said.
Two persons, one each from the rival group, were arrested after both the parties lodged cross-complaints, he said.
Offences under various sections including those for unlawful assembly, attempt to murder, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, dacoity, mischief and criminal intimidation have been registered against members of both the groups, inspector Ajay Vasave said.
Search for others involved in the offence was on, he added.
