Two suspected diesel smugglers were arrested today for allegedly shooting rival gang member in Masuri area of the district, police said today.
Based on the complaint filed by one Raheesh, a case has been registered at the Masuri Police Station following which the duo was arrested.
The incident took place when Raheesh and his friend Momeen, both considered diesel smugglers were heading towards Delhi and was confronted by rival gang members Satyendra and Jitendra in Masuri near IMS, police said.
The fight turned out ugly when Satyendra allegedly shot at Raheesh and fled the scene with Jitendra, they said.
Raheesh was declared stable when taken to hospital, they said, adding, that these smugglers buy diesel from Delhi and sell it in different parts of Ghaziabad.
