One killed, another hurt in pressure bomb blast in Sukma

A 35-year-old man was today killed and another one was injured in a blast of a pressure bomb, which was allegedly planted by Naxals, near a village in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, police said.

Police officials from Sukma district today told Bhasha/PTI over the phone that the villager Sanna Markam died when he accidentally stepped on the pressure bomb laid in the forest area near Takahwada village.

Another villager Sannu Markami (45) was injured in the incident.

According to the police, the incident took place when the villagers of Takahwada were heading towards the jungle area to celebrate a local festival.
 

A police team rushed to the spot after getting the information about the explosion.

The body of the deceased as well as the injured were taken to a hospital.

Further investigation into the case is on.
