One person was shot dead while five others were seriously injured in a clash between two groups in Aurangabad district of Bihar, a police official said today.
The incident happened at Puraiti locality under Daudnagar police station area of the district, after a dispute broke out between two groups over cattle yesterday.
Daudnagar Deputy Superintendent of Police Anwar Javed said, "People from both the groups traded blows with each other. In between somebody fired a few shots in which one person identified as Mohammad Saddam (22) was killed and five others were injured."

Javed said three of the five injured were in serious condition and the local doctors referred them to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in neighbouring Gaya district for better treatment.
Tension prevails in the area after the incident and senior officials of the district administration are camping there. Police have been deployed in large numbers.
