One person was killed while four others were seriously injured when a tractor collided with a truck in Jehanabad district of Bihar, around 70 kilometres from the state capital.
Jehanabad Superintendent of Police Aditya Kumar said the incident happened near Makarpur village.
"A few residents of Mayabigha village had gone on a tractor to Barabar Temple for offering prayers. Their vehicle collided with a truck which was coming at high speed from the opposite direction," Kumar said.
The SP added that the truck has been seized by the police. Its driver managed to escape after the accident.
The body has been sent for postmortem and the injured have been admitted to government hospital at Makhdumpur.
