One killed, four injured in road mishap in Rajasthan

A 40-year-old man was killed and four others were injured when the jeep they were travelling in was hit by a speeding truck on the Kota-Jaipur National Highway today, police said.

The incident took place near Badanayagaun in Hindoli police station area of the district in which Heeralal, a resident of Tokdi village, was killed, said Kamal Singh, ASI of Hindoli police station.

Ramlaxman (48), Ramprasad Raidas (45), Kalibai Meghwal (20) and Antima (2) sustained injuries in the mishap and are undergoing treatment at a district government hospital, he said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and efforts are on to nab the truck driver who managed to escape from the spot, the ASI said.
