The workers -- identified as Jagbir, Kallu, Rajaram, Ramcharan and Prem -- were burning tyre in the boiler yesterday to extract oil when the mishap occurred, police said.
The injured were rushed to a hospital in Delhi where injured Kallu succumbed to injuries, they said.
The owner of the factory absconded after the incident, they said, adding that further investigation into the matter was on.
