One killed in clash over path use

One person was killed and three others injured today when two groups of people clashed over the use of a narrow path at Memari in Burdwan district.

"The police said Rafiq Ansari (48) of Bara Masaguria village died when the two groups clashed with sticks and bombs," Superintendent of Police SMH Mirza said.

Twelve people were arrested, 25 crude bombs were seized after the clash and a police picket has been posted in the area, he said.

The injured people were admitted to a local hospital.
