encounter with 33th Assam Rifle personnel at Kumbi area in Bishnupur district last night, official sources said today.
Sources said that security personnel launched search operation at Kumbi area last night. In the encounter, one suspected militant was killed on the spot. One 9mm pistol with two live rounds were recovered from the decease.
The body was sent to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences hospital for post mortem, sources said.
