One person was today killed and seven others injured when a Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) collided with a tractor in Manawala here, police said.
After the collision, the driver of the tractor Vijay and co-passenger Tony fell down from the moving vehicle while the tractor kept moving for nearly 500 yards till it hit an under construction marriage palace and its front tyres burst, they said.
The driver died on the spot while the condition of the co-passenger is critical, police said.
The six injured occupants of the MUV have been admitted at a hospital and are stated to be out of danger, they said.
