Three labourers of a local factory were sleeping on the verandah of the factory premises and a goods van was parked nearby.
Another vehicle entered the factory premises later and its driver while parking the car, hit the van which went into motion and went over the sleeping labourers, killing one on the spot and critically injuring two others.
The dead has been identified as Badshah Sheikh while the injured, Jamal Sheikh and Chandmia Sheikh, have been admitted to Dhubri Civil Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle has been arrested, sources added.
