One killed, two injured after hit by train

A woman was killed while another woman and a minor child were seriously injured when they were hit by Kamakhya-Katra Express on a railway bridge near Valmikinagar railway station in Bihar's West Champaran district today.

Superintendent of Police, Shankar Jha said, the incident occurred when two women with a child were walking on the track on the railway bridge.

The train, which came from the opposite direction, reached the rail bridge and crushed one of them and left the other two seriously injured.

The body of the deceased woman was cut into two halves, the SP said adding that the injured woman and the child were taken to Bagaha sub-divisional hospital.
 

The identities of the deceased as well as the injured persons were yet to be ascertained, he added.
