The Assam government today said a one-member committee would enquire into the death of 30 people travelling in two mini-buses which was hit by a truck on October three in Barpeta district.
The committee to be headed by Divisional Commissioner, Lower Assam Division, Sabbir Hussain would enquire into the causes and circumstances leading to the mishap, an official release said here.
The enquiry report would have to be submitted within 30 days, it added.
The truck from West Bengal hit the first bus, which moved backward and hit the one following it at Doholapara, under Sorbhog police station in Barpeta district.
