One more person dies, toll in crude bomb explosion rises to 9

With one more person succumbing to his injuries today, the toll in the blast which took place in Birbhum district when some people were allegedly making crude bombs rose to nine.

One of the injured person, Seikh Enamul succumbed to his injuries at the Burdwan Medical College Hospital, police said.

Eight persons were killed and four others injured when crude bombs, which they were allegedly making, went off at Darbarpur village in in Birbhum district yesterday.

Six persons were arrested in connection with the explosion at Darbarpur village.

Police sources said raids were being conducted to arrest the other suspected miscreants.
 

Forensic experts today collected samples from the house where the blast occurred.
