Another person wanted in connection with the murder of Dravida Viduthalai Kazhakam (DVK) worker, Farooq, surrendered before a Court here today, police said.

Saddam Hussain, a resident of Podanur here, arrived at the Judicial Magistrate court along with his advocate, to surrender, since his name was in the list of suspects.

There was no proof about the involvement of Saddam in the murder case, his advocate said.

Since police suspect his involvement along with five others, he decided to surrender before the Court, he added.

Saddam is likely to be remanded to judicial custody, police said.

One Asrath had already surrendered before the court on March 17 in connection with the murder.

Farooq, was found murdered on the night of March 16, with deep cuts on neck and abdomen.

He was done to death reportedly by a four-member gang in protest against his repeated posts in the social media against God and religion.
