One person died of burn injury at Satgachi under Dum Dum police station last night.
Barrackpur police commissionerate Niraj Singh said a group of criminals called Sajal Sarkar (55) inside his rubber factory.
They tied him up and set him ablaze before escaping.
The police later reached the spot and found the victim dead with severe burn injuries.
A murder case has been registered to ascertain the exact cause of the crime.There was no report of arrests so far.
