One person was today seriously injured when a clash broke out between two groups in Hindon town of Karauli district, prompting police to open fire in air to disperse them, a senior police official said.
The two sides indulged in stone pelting and attacked each other with sticks injuring one person, who was rushed to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, Superintendent of Police, Karauli, Yogesh Yadav said.
Police had to open five rounds of fire "in air" to disperse the clashing mob, the SP told PTI on phone.

Seven miscreants were rounded up and extra-force was deployed in the town to maintain law order which was said to be serious but under control, he said.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, the SP said, adding senior police officials are now monitoring the situation in the area.
