looted two motorcycls from Shivpur more of Bihar's Purnia district today, sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Sandip Kumar Prabhat said.
One Sanjay Mandal of Harnaha village was returning to his villahe when the gunmen surrounded him, looted his motorcycle at gun-point, Prabhat said.
Mandal informed it to his family members over mobile.
In the meantime, father-in-law of Sanjay Mandal Sahdeo Mandal and his two sons arrived and started chasing the gunmen, he said.
The gunmen stopped and fired at him killing him on the spot, Prabhat said, adding they also looted another motorcycle from the victim's sons.
Raids were on in the area to apprehend the gunmen, he said.
