One pilgrim killed, 10 injured in road mishap

The pilgrims were returning to Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir in a mini bus after paying obeisance at various religious shrines, including Badri Nath, yesterday.

When their bus reached Chak Hakeem village, a truck ahead applied brakes abruptly leading to a collision between the two, police said.

Eleven people were injured in the mishap, they said.

One of the injured who was referred to Jalandhar in critical condition succumbed to his injuries during treatment, police said.
