Actor Rahul Bose, to come up in journalist-turned-director Ritobroto Bhattacharya's upcoming 'Sondhey Naamar Aagey' in the role of a modern sleuth, says one should only do a film he wants.

"You should do a film only if you wish. It is like if you say something you have to observe first," Rahul told PTI before the premier of the film based on real life incidents, this evening.

The avid 'Feluda' reader, who had apparently read all 'Feluda' classics by Satyajit Ray, said the modern day sleuth Pratyushalok bore no resemblances with his two radio plays for BBC 'Sonar Kella' (Golden Fort) and 'Jai Baba Felunath' (The Elephant God).

"Patyush is totally different. No shadow of the two 'Feludas'. It never occured in my mind. Only similarity being both of us portraying sleuths," he said.

Euphoria frontman Palash Sen essays a crucial role in the turn of events.

Director Rhitobrata Bhattacharya said, "Palash Sen has a presence. And he projects a Bengalee who speaks accented dialect due to his ubpringing outside."

"We badly required someone like Palash in the film." The film also talks about how people flaunted masks while interacting with others, Rhitobrata said.

Actor Nusrat Jahan, essaying the role of the female lead, said, "My character Rusa lies hidden within the self of every woman. She is supremely confident and glamourous." The thriller, produced by Narsingha Films, also starred Rituparna Sengupta and Biswajit Chakorborty.
