The Haryana government has decided to set up one university in every district of the state, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said.

Gurgaon district will also get a university. All MLAs of the district should sit together and decide the place where the university will be set up, the CM said while addressing a gathering after laying foundation stone of Shree Maharaja Aggarsein Bhawan on Sohna-Palwal Road.

"The state government has decided to open one university in each district of the state," Khattar said.

The Chief Minister said that the government has decided to also open a medical college in every district, either on its own or with private collaboration.

Gurgaon district already has a private medical college, whose management would be contacted and asked to give admissions to students of this district and provide them concession in fees, he said.

Khattar said that on the patterns of 'Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna', 'Vidhayak Adarsh Gram Yojna' will be rolled out in Haryana.

Under this scheme, 15 MPs and 90 MLAs will develop one village each in Haryana but because the state has more than 6,500 villages, the big Industrial and Corporate houses have also been asked to adopt villages and develop them, Khattar said.

He alleged that during the earlier Congress regime casual workers were hired instead of permanent employees because of which thousands of youth remain unemployed and posts are lying vacant in the government departments.

What can be a bigger failure of the government than this, he asked.

He said the BJP government is going to start process of recruitment in the coming 6 months.

Referring to politics of dividing people on the basis of caste and religion, the Chief Minister said "now we have also committed to unite entire Haryana as one entity" and all 2.5 crore people will work unitedly for development of the state.

"Even if we have to compete, we will compete with other states, not amongst us," he said.

The CM said that in order to teach the students importance of cleanliness, they will be taught lessons on sanitation and it will be included in the curriculum.

He announced upgradation of Sohna General Hospital to 50- bedded hospital from its present 24-bed capacity and it will cost around Rs 5 crore.

He also announced giving an amount of Rs 7 crore for municipal area of Sohna and Rs 11 crore for taking up development works in the villages of Sohna assembly.

At the same time, he also announced a grant of Rs 5 crore for Badshahpur Assembly constituency.
