ONGC, Salgaocar draw goalless

The draw means both the teams remain at the bottom of the points table with seven points each from eleven matches.

Salgaocar, who were looking to get their first win under David Booth after three straight defeats, started positively and had more of exchanges in the barren first half at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda.

Salgaocar created plenty of scoring opportunities but rival keeper T P Rehenesh made some fine saves. ONGC, on the other hand, were content in playing the waiting game and seemed in no hurry to take the battle to the opposition.

Japanese midfielder Katsumi Yusa combined well but lacked the necessary firepower. However, they had a couple of chances in the latter part of the match
