Ongoing peace talks should be strengthened to realise goals

The Naga Hoho, the apex Naga organisation has said the ongoing peace process between the Centre and the NSCN(IM) have to be strengthened in order to realize the goals and aspirations of the Naga people.

The Naga Hoho has appealed to both the Centre and the NSCN (IM) to expedite the process towards bringing early political settlement.

The appeal was made in the best interest of the Nagas during the Naga Hoho Presidential Council meeting which thoroughly deliberated on the signing of Framework Agreement between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) on August 3 last, a release issued by its Communication Cell of Naga Hoho said today.
 

The meeting was held yesterday in the state capital, which was attended by more than 20 tribe presidents along with its executives, the release said.
