Only one candidate files nomination paper today

One candidate filed his nomination paper today for the April 10 Lok Sabha polls in Delhi.

Delhi Election Commission said it received only one application today from Atulya Bharat Party from New Delhi constituency.

"Atulya Bharat Party candidate Swadesh Ohri filed his nomination from New Delhi constituency. So far nine nominations have been received from four constituencies out of seven," said an election official.

The filing of nominations will continue till March 22. After scrutiny on March 24, candidates can withdraw their nominations till March 26.

Out of seven constituencies in Delhi, six are general seats and one is reserved for scheduled caste. The parliamentary constituencies are Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, and North West Delhi (reserved).
