Ahead of the Winter Session of the Jharkhand Assembly that starts from December 15, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked the opposition to remain within "dignified limits" during debates and deliberations in the House.

The opposition is a part of the system and has the right to criticise, but it should be constructive and within dignified limits, he said.

Addressing the first ever Whips Conference here, Das said each day of the legislature should be utilised in the interest of the people, who send their representatives with their desires, aspirations and grievances.

Stressing upon full attendance in the House during sessions, Das said thin attendance was a cause of concern during second half of the day's proceedings.

He asked the representatives of the people, officials and employees to work honestly and implement welfare programmes as it was the way of service to the country and the state.

Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon, Leader of Opposition Hemant Soren and MLAs were present in the conference.
