The Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) has unanimously elected A Vaidheesh, vice president, South Asia & Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals as president for the year 2017-18.
Vaidheesh takes over from Shailesh Ayyangar, managing director, Sanofi India, who held this position since 2013.
The four elected vice presidents are Sharad Tyagi, managing director, Boehringer Ingelheim; Sanjiv Navangul, managing director, Janssen India; S Sridhar, managing director, Pfizer and Anand Nambiar, managing director of Merck India.

Mumbai: Jagannath Shinde has been re-elected as a president of the Maharashtra State Chemists & Druggists Association (MSCDA).
Shinde was elected as president at the MSCDA's annual general meeting (AGM) held at Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Nearly 900 chemists from the Maharashtra remain present at the AGM.
This will be his sixth term as Shinde hold president's position since 2002, a statement issued here said.

Mumbai: Media firm Viacom18 today said it has partnered with indoor theme park chain KidZania to set-up a Nickelodeon and Colors themed TV studio at the latter's Delhi outlet.
The partnership with KidZania, is another step forward in Viacom18's strategy of building ecosystems outside of the traditional television landscape, creating synergies across brands and platforms, Viacom18 said in a statement.
Kidzania educates kids through real-life role-play activities.
"This partnership with KidZania brings a perfect opportunity for us to collaborate with like-minded partners and creating a platform for children to experience different aspects of the media and entertainment industry," Viacom18 Chief Operating Officer Raj Nayak said.

Mumbai: Creative agency Lowe Lintas has bagged the creative mandate for 3M India's brands Scotch-Brite and Scotchgard, following a multi-agency pitch.
The incumbent agency for 3M India was Grey Worldwide, Bangalore.
