The new-found bonhomie among non-BJP parties after the Uttar Pradesh bypolls was on display here this evening at an Iftar organised by RLD vice president Jayant Chaudhary.
Though the top leadership of the Samajwadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress kept away from the Iftar, state unit leaders from these parties as well as the RJD, the NCP and the CPM were present.
SP state president Naresh Uttam and lawmakers Sunil Singh Sajan and Rajesh Yadav attended the Iftar, Rashtriya Lok Dal spokesman Anil Dubey said.
The Congress was represented by Siraj Mehdi, Surendra Rajput and Zeeshan Haider, he said.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal sent Ashok Singh and the Nationalist Congress Party was represented by Ramesh Dixit.
