The opposition MLAs today staged a walkout in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly over the issue of constitution of District Mining Foundation (DMF).
Raising the issue through starred question, senior Congress MLA Dhanendra Sahu asked when was the DMF in Raipur district set up and who are the members and office-bearers appointed in it.
Sahu also sought to know when and how much funds were deposited under DMF (in Raipur district) through different heads.

In his written reply, Chief Minister Raman Singh, who also holds the Mining portfolio, said the DMF in Raipur was constituted on January 2, 2016.
Collector Raipur is the ex-officio Chairman of the DMF Raipur while CEO Zila Panchayat is the ex-officio member secretary besides 16 others ex-officio members.
Moreover, nominated members are Raipur MP Ramesh Bais, Dharsiwa MLA Dev Ji Bhai Patel, Arang MLA Naveen Markandey and five others, he said.
The Chief Minister also gave details about the funds deposited and the development works undertaken under DMF.
Singh informed that through Contributory Fund a sum of Rs 1003.82 lakh and a total of Rs 1717.22 lakh through Trust Fund has been deposited under DMF inRaipur.
Countering the reply, Sahu alleged that the ex-officio Chairman of the Fund is District Collector, who is working at his own will.
Collector is himself deciding which work is to be sanctioned without taking suggestions from public representatives, he charged.
Sahu urged the Chief Minister to include all MLAs from respective districts in the DMF. He was supported by other party MLAs.
Further the Chief Minister said, several Congress MLAs including Congress Legislative Party Leader, are members in DMF of their respective area.
Over Congress members demand to include all MLAs in the foundation, the CM said there is no such plan in immediate future.
Unsatisfied with the reply, Congress members and other opposition MLAs staged walk out in the House.
