BJP today claimed Congress and other parties were afraid of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and it was their fear which was driving them to target the leader at every possible opportunity.

"All parties, including Congress, are afraid of Modi. Their leaders declare that Modi's magic will not work... In every meeting they are targeting him," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak told reporters today.

"Congress and (other) parties are suffering from "Modi- phobia" and that's clear from their activities... They don't want to recognise his achievements," he added.

Given the positive focus on the development model introduced in Gujarat, political parties are left with nothing to say against Modi, the BJP spokesman said.
