Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey says she cannot tolerate people who use racial remarks.

Winfrey was recently at the receiving end of her "Color Purple" co-star Rae Dawn, who used racially derogatory terms to describe the media mogul.

"You cannot be my friend and use that word around me. It shows my age, but I feel strongly about. I always think of the millions of people who heard that as their last word as they were hanging from a tree, Winfrey told Parade magazine.

Winfrey, 59, feels youth have no idea what the civil rights movement is all about. She thinks Martin Luther King's dream has not been completely fulfilled.

"Are more people judged by the content of their character than by the color of their skin? Yes. Is everybody judged by the content of their character? Absolutely not." she said.
