The 58-year-old, who recently started her own television network, now aspires to be part of a stage drama, reported ABC News online.
"My dream is to do Broadway. That is going to happen," said Winfrey.
She was nominated for an Oscar for her debut in "The Color Purple" released in 1985 and was also part of 1998 film "Beloved".
Winfrey is now doing a racy role in a political movie "The Butler".
