Orient Green Power loss narrows to Rs 23 cr in Apr-Jun qtr

Orient Green Power Company's consolidated loss narrowed to Rs 22.7 crore in the first quarter ended June, compared to nearly Rs 54 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's total income from operations increased to Rs 126.35 crore in the first quarter of the financial year, compared with Rs 108.3 crore a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing.

The firm's board, at its meeting held on Thursday, approved the acquisition of 26 per cent equity shares in subsidiary companies Shriram Power Gen Ltd and Shriram Non-Conventional Energy, making the two firms its wholly-owned subsidiaries.
