Orissa High Court bar defers decision to Tuesday afternoon

Instead, the executive body suggested for a reassessment of the situation tomorrow.

As the air of confusion continued, lawyers of all courts, including that of the High Court also boycotted the court proceedings for the fourth actual day. Reports reaching here also indicated that judicial and administrative courts in many other parts of the state remained paralysed as lawyers stayed away from the courts.

"We are going to take a decision tomorrow afternoon regarding our next course of action after meeting the members of the Samablpur bar again on Monday night," said Orissa High Court bar association president Jayant Das, who has already arrived in Sambalpur along with several other office bearers of the Association to hold parleys with the lawyers of Sambalpur.

 

Das said necessity of a reassessment of the situation aroused when the members of the western Odisha Bar associations came up with a fresh demand insisting on the arrest of the Sambalpur District Collector Mrinalini Darswal.
