An inmate of Aastha Kunj, a government home for destitute children, has been selected for admission to the Chartered Accountancy Academy in Delhi.
Prakash Chand (18) lost his parents early in childhood in a village in Rewari district, said Ajmer Singh Godara, Superintendent of the Aastha Kunj, adding that he was brought to the shelter here by his relatives in 2006.
"The boy meritoriously passed his class XII examination with commerce recently from a local school," said Prem Kumar Yadav, officer-in-charge of District Child Welfare Council which runs Aastha Kunj.

He said that presently 28 inmates of the Aastha Kunj were engaged in schooling.
Felicitating Prakash for his achievement, Deputy Commissioner C G Rajini Kaanthan wished him brighter success in his apprenticeship at the academy in Delhi.
