In a follow up action of Governors' Conference held in Delhi early this year, the Governor offices in other states will adopt the Rajasthan model of "Tribal Cell" to implement tribal welfare schemes, an official said here today.

At the Governors' Conference chaired by President Pranab Mukherjee on February 11-12, 2015, Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh has put up and recommended the state model of "tribal cell", and that is now taken up in the proceedings issued by President's Secretariat for other states, the Raj Bhawan PRO said quoting the letter.

The President's decision has been communicated and "directed the state governments to facilitate setting up Tribal Cells in Governor's Office on the lines of Rajasthan state".
