Outcome of US Prez polls immaterial: CPI

"Obama has won the presidential elections. Even if Romney had won it would have made no difference since he and Obama both support capitalism and corporate policies," CPI General Secretary S Sudhakar Reddy told reporters here.

He said the US under Obama could undertake measures like lifting economic sanctions against Cuba, not resorting to war against Syria and refraining from supporting Israel in the Palestinian crisis.

On the Congress rally held in New Delhi on Sunday, Reddy said, "The ruling party is openly supporting policies that are favourable to big corporates."
