Over 10,000 booked in AP capital for tinted film on vehicles

During this operation launched yesterday of removing black film from the safety glasses of cars and other motor vehicles, as many as 10,500 cases were booked and a fine of Rs 100 was imposed on each of them, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) C V Anand said.

The 'education and enforcement exercise' will be continued and the drive will be intensified after a review in next three to four days, he said.

On the first day of the drive yesterday, 3,411 cases had been registered.

According to police, they were implementing the recent Supreme Court order issued in this regard.
