As many as 103 people at a village in southwest China fell sick due to food poisoning after attending a wedding feast, local authorities said today.
The patients suffered from stomach pains, diarrhoea and nausea after attending a wedding feast on Thursday at Tanghai Village in Yunnan Province, state-run Xinhua news agency reported, citing local authorities.
As of last night, 103 people went to hospitals for treatment and 20 of them were hospitalised.
Initial investigations suggest they have contracted a bacterial food poisoning, the report said, adding that all affected people are in stable condition.
