As much as 14.09 lakh quintals of sugarcane has been crushed by cooperative sugar mills so far in the ongoing crushing season in Haryana, Minister of State for Cooperation Bikram Singh Yadav said today.
"In Haryana, during the current crushing season, so far cooperative sugar mills have crushed 14.09 lakh quintals of sugarcane and have produced 82,200 quintals of sugar," he said in a release.
Yadav said the cooperative mill Shahabad has so far crushed maximum of 4.45 lakh quintal of cane and has produced 32,200 quintal of sugar followed by cooperative sugar mills Panipat which crushed 2.50 lakh quintal of cane thus produced 19,025 quintal of sugar.

He said cooperative sugar mill Rohtak has crushed 2.44 lakh quintal of cane and has produced 11,305 quintal of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal has crushed 1.98 lakh quintal of sugarcane and has produced 12,220 quintal of sugar and Cooperative Sugar Mill Sonipat has crushed 1.23 lakh quintal of sugarcane and has produced 6,000 quintal of sugar.
Yadav said that cooperative sugar mill Meham has crushed 94,000 quintal of sugarcane and thus produced 1,450 quintal of sugar, while Cooperative Sugar mill Gohana crushed 55,000 quintal of sugarcane.
