Over 1,40,000 fleece zippered hooded sweatshirts for children made in Pakistan have been recalled in the US due to choking hazard.

The recall involves the Kids Korner brand boy, girl and toddler cotton/poly blend fleece zipper hooded sweatshirts with a front zipper, two front pockets and knit ribbing around the wrists and waist, a company statement said yesterday.

"The sweatshirt zipper pull can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children," it said, urging the consumers to immediately take the sweatshirt away from young children and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The sweatshirts were imported by Fred Meyer, Inc., of Portland, Oregon.

The sweatshirts were sold for between USD 8 and USD 10, at multiple retail locations around the US.
