Over 16 lakh applications received under PSGA: J-K Govt

As many as 16,36,040 applications have been received by different departments under Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act till January 31 this year.

This was told to the legislative Council here today by Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather while replying on behalf of the Chief Minister to a question by NC MLA Vijay Bakaya.

The Minister further said that few departments have reported pendency of certain number of applications beyond the stipulated time on account of various reasons.

He said in two cases penalty has been imposed on erring officers for the delay in providing the notified services.
