Acting on a tip-off by the Organised Crime Intelligence Unit, a police team raided the garden at Poochampatti village, 30 km from here, and unearthed 2,479 gelatine sticks and 771 electric detonators, police said.

Seven persons were arrested under the Explosives Act for illegally keeping the explosive materials, police said adding these were meant for quarrying.
