Over 200 fined for traffic violation in Noida

Launching a drive against traffic violators, the Noida police today fined as many as 297 offenders and recovered over Rs 15,000 as penalty.

While 56 of them were challaned for parking their vehicles in 'no-parking' areas, 25 motorists were fined for over speeding, police said.

Similarly, while 20 motorcyclists were fined for not wearing helmet while driving, 11 were penalised for tripling on two-wheeler.

15 motorists were fined for not using seat belts, and five were challaned for having black film on their window screens, they said.

As many as 12 trucks were fined for overloading, while 153 others were challaned for minor violations like signal jumping.
