Over 250 land cases settled to complete various projects in

Authorities in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir have cleared an amount of Rs 19.63 crore for compensation to land owners to ensure time-bound completion of developmental projects.

The district administration conducted a comprehensive review of projects involving land compensation, acquisition, disputes and other land related issues.

At a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, more than 250 cases were taken up for discussion to ensure time-bound completion of projects, removal of impediments and payment of land compensation in a time-bound manner, a spokesperson said.

It was decided that the Collectors Land Acquisition would pay Rs 19.63 crore to land owners latest by December 31, he said.
