Over 2,800 cases relating to power disputes were settled at a special two-day Lok Adalat with a settlement amount of around Rs 9.45 crore.
The special Lok Adalat session was conducted by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) to settle electricity cases of BSES Yamuna Power Ltd on January 14 and 15 at Karkardooma Courts complex in east Delhi and permanent Lok Adalat building.
A statement issued by DSLSA said a total of 3,082 cases were taken up and out of them, 2,807 matters were settled.

While on the first day, 1,634 cases taken up and 1,461 were settled with an amount of around Rs 4.68 crore, on the second day, 1,448 cases were taken up for hearing and 1,346 matters were settled with a settlement amount of nearly Rs 4.76 crore.
The Loka Adalat was conducted under the guidance of its Patron-in-Chief andChief Justice of Delhi High Court Justice G Rohini and Justice Indira Banerjee.
